Cast Portrait
Keith Paul, Lightspeed Fine Art
"The difference between our lithographs and our chromagraphs is that the lithograph is done by a printed process on acid-free paper. The chromagraph is printed on photographic paper and then mounted on acid-free foamcore. The colors are about 10% brighter and have a sharper image on the chromagraph. Chromagraphs are larger and are only done in very limited editions (100 or less)." - Lightspeed Fine Art FAQ (Standard catalog image.) |

Inspirations |

|
"Beat the Whites With the Red Wedge", 1919
El (Eliezer Markovich) Lissitzky (1890-1941)
One of the Russian artist's most famous works, this poster was used by original Farscape production designer Ricky Eyres as his main inspiration for Peacekeeper decor; variations on this image are found most notably in the floor covering introduced in episode 105 (Back and Back and Back to the Future), and the design of Peacekeeper facilities such as the Gammak base where Crichton first encounters Scorpius. (Standard museum image; original currently — we think — in Stedelijk Van Abbe-Museum, Eindhoven, Netherlands.) |
|
|
|
"The Old Glen Mill", 1950
Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966)
Used as a background detail in the Delvian temple, in the season one episode, "Rhapsody in Blue". (Standard museum image; original in private collection.) |
